Alter-Projects, as the lead Curator for A/D/O by MINI curated 'Urban Imprint' an installation by London based Studio INI for NYCxDesign in May 2019.
Nassia Inglessis, founder of Studio INI, loves to take a human-centric approach to the material world, applying digital tools and new technologies to it. Rather than creating a virtual or augmented reality, the studio is pioneering in what they call “augmented materiality”: a way to bring the material world closer to human interaction and intention.
This artwork, on show until September 2019, invites visitors to engage in an entirely free, visceral, and playful dialogue between their body and the space. The installation reimagines the relationship between people and their built environment, allowing visitors to reshape its physical space and architecture via their own movement.
